For my whole career, I have been in producing and arts management. Starting as an arts administrator at Brisbane Powerhouse, APAM as a Project Coordinator and program manager at Midsummer Festival.
I have always been an organiser at heart, even in university, as part of Vena Cava, the Student theatre company, producing a full suite of shows. I have also had a great connection to education and mentorship; I was studying to become a Drama/English teacher before shifting into arts management after doing a rather intense internship at Brisbane Festival.
Through many of these experiences, I also held onto my passion for education, often working with mentorship programs or artist development. I know how intimidating the arts sector can be and have made it a goal of mine to make it as approachable and accessible as possible.
